Frontline PCB Solutions announces the release of version 2.2 of its GenFlex CAM system for Flex Manufacturing, as of July 26th, 2007.

Version 2.2 introduces new Analysis, as well as enhanced editing tools. These improvements will bring significant value to both new and existing users. A new Etching Analysis function is introduced to GenFlex, allowing users to predict where problems could arise due to over- or underetching.

In addition a new Impedance Coupon Generator was introduced to allow users to create highly complex Impedance Coupons in a matter of minutes, compared to hours spent currently for manual creation of such coupons before.

Genesis 9.2 increases productivity and enables advanced board testability through a new Netlist Optimizer. On top of that GenFlex v2.2 also introduces new editing tools: New Layer Types for Rigid-Flex board types, adding symbols with predefined attributes, and interactive tools to join coverlay clearances, new barcode types and many more will help to tool jobs faster, while keeping a higher data integrity.
